An old landmark in the old ‘hood, up for sale after several years in some good hands. And although it’s in beautiful, architect designed, close-to-original state and although some lovely, rather valuable extras have been added (pool, retaining walls) and although it’s a well orientated, rambling family home in a family suburb, we worry that once affordable larger land holdings in this neck of the woods are approaching a point of outrageous (half an acre is not to be sneezed at) and the only way to justify the outlay, in most minds, is to see a row of godawful townhouses take it’s place. Let us hope not.
