Though most of the country is beset with bushfire jitters right now, here is a shining reminder of why we as a nation will always be drawn to places of our native, natural splendor. Perched overlooking a pretty portion of the greater Lake Eildon this lovely and expansive Modernist bolt-hole sits aesthetically at the intersection of coastal beach house with some North American cabin traits with the end result a pleasing pad indeed. And though that full length glazing, flat roof line and internal beam construction hints at some excellent architectural skill behind the design we are not quite convinced of its purported McGlashan Everist provenance (maybe it was a little off-the-books commission for a mate?).
